This is one of the best runs in Toronto! Just 10 minutes from downtown Toronto the run takes place in the car-free and lovely Toronto Islands. A fast, flat 6k surrounded by the lake, under the trees, and followed by a super-friendly barbecue, it is one of the most pleasant evenings a runner can have. The view coming back on the ferry is spectacular!
Take the 5:30 or 6:15 PM Ward’s Island ferry to Ward’s Island Clubhouse.

Proceeds go to Start2Finish
Start2Finish’s mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change.
Almost 1 million Canadian children live at or below the poverty line. Statistics indicate that obesity, lack of physical fitness, and low literacy are on the rise, especially among children living in low-income families. These families do not have the economic means to enrol children in community/sports activities or tutoring programs, purchase school supplies, and provide adequate nutrition.
The Start2Finish solution to child poverty is innovative and dynamic. Our Fitness and Literacy Model is rooted in volunteerism, children’s literacy, health, and education.
